About Us

Jane Bowers has devoted her career to the management, funding and governance of nonprofit institutions.

Educated at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, she founded McCormick Bowers Associates in 1987. Jane has worked on both sides of the funding desk; she has trained boards, managed and advised groups for more than sixty-five nonprofits and government agencies.

She is a founder and convener of the Nonprofit Consultants Network (formerly called Consultant Network for Excellence in Nonprofits), a forum for independent consulting practitioners who work with community-based nonprofits.
